This is one of my absolute favorite bikes we did for a few really good reasons.

The first reason is that the engine and transmission were completely rebuild by our greatly missed departed head mechanic and Iron Hawg original founder Jack Trotsky.

The next reason is the awesome client Dan who brought this project to our door. Dan had some awesome ideas for this build and was extremely patient during the extensive build process.

He was also very open to different ideas and was a pleasure to work with!

It is a 76 AMF FL SHOVELHEAD, iconic, classic, and cool. Dan bought this bike a few years back, it was basically all original, he felt however that it was a little to rough around the edges to do an original restoration, and honestly that would not be as fun.
So he took the whole bike apart, meticulously bagged and tagged all the bits and pieces and brought it to us.

We machined a billet caliper mount for the rear and ran late model fork legs to utilize modern 4 piston brakes. We high mounted a roadking nacelle to help tuck the tire, Stretched the oem rear fender about 6in, and paired it with an @dirtybirdconcepts front which we brazed a factory style accent to the rear.

We raked it 3° and custom fit a 23in front wheel and an 18 rear. We used @dirty_air_rides components for front and rear air ride, we built a custom compressor mount I front of the rear tire and used a DA 4valve manifold with some relays and custom wiring to independently charge the front and rear with one compressor.

We fabricated the, dash pannel, battery box, upper motor mount, and built a stainless steel manual center stand and did kustomtech hand controls on 18in bars.

All internal wire and lines and did some hidden switches with an @exilecycles internal throttle and added a hydrolic clutch and kicker.

Also some 36in duals. We did more custom work to this bike then we have room to describe.

And of course Jeff Z topped it off with a killer custom rootbeer mix paint.
